Last Updated: August 13, 2026 Throwmium is a mobile application operated by Hit Zone LLC ("Throwmium," "we," "us," or "our").This Privacy Policy explains how Throwmium handles information when you use the Throwmium mobile application and the Throwmium website.
1. Information Throwmium Accesses and Processes
Throwmium is designed to process pitch-tracking information and recorded videos primarily on your device. Throwmium does not currently transmit or collect your pitch videos, pitch history, camera footage, or other pitch-tracking information on its own servers.
Camera
Throwmium requires access to your device's camera to:Detect and track a baseball or softballCalculate estimated pitch speedDisplay the live pitch tracking experienceCapture pitch videosGenerate pitch video previews Apply visual overlays such as MPH, ball tracking, and ball-path informationCamera data is processed to provide these features.
Photos and Videos
When you record a pitch, Throwmium may create and temporarily process video files on your device. If you choose to save a pitch video to your Photos library, the video is transferred to and stored in your device's Photos library. Throwmium does not automatically publish your videos or make them publicly available.
Pitch and App Data
Throwmium may create and store information associated with recorded pitches locally on your device, including:
Pitch speed
Estimated distance
Pitch type, when available
Pitch history
Recorded video clips
Dates and times associated with saved clips
Technical information necessary for the app to function
This information is not transmitted to or stored on Throwmium's servers.
Purchases and Subscriptions
Throwmium offers optional paid subscriptions through Apple's App Store. Payments and billing are handled by Apple. Throwmium does not receive or store your full credit card or payment-card information. Throwmium uses the subscription entitlement information provided through Apple's StoreKit services to determine whether premium features are available to you.
2. How We Use Information
We use information accessed or created by Throwmium to:
Provide pitch tracking
Calculate and display pitch speed
Track the baseball or softball
Generate pitch videos
Display ball-path information
Store and display pitch history
Provide slow-motion video features
Provide subscription functionality
Respond to customer support requests
Comply with applicable legal requirements
3. On-Device Processing
Throwmium is designed to perform significant portions of its pitch detection and video processing directly on your device.When information is processed entirely on your device and is not transmitted to us or a third party, we do not receive or have access to that information.
4. Information Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information.We may disclose information when reasonably necessary to: Provide the Throwmium service Process subscriptions or purchases through Apple Provide customer supportProtect the security and integrity of Throwmium Comply with applicable law, legal process, or government requests Protect the rights, property, or safety of Hit Zone LLC, our users, or othersIf we introduce third-party analytics, crash reporting, cloud storage, advertising, or other services that collect information from users, we will update this Privacy Policy and our App Store privacy disclosures as appropriate. Apple requires developers to account for data collected by third-party SDKs and partners when completing App Store privacy disclosures.
5. Video Sharing
Throwmium may allow you to share recorded pitch videos using sharing functionality provided by your device. When you choose to share a video, you are choosing to send that content to the person, application, or service you select. Once content is shared outside Throwmium, that content is subject to the privacy practices and terms of the receiving service.
6. Data Retention and Deletion
Pitch videos saved to your device's Photos library remain there until you delete them.Pitch clips stored within Throwmium's app storage remain there until you delete them or the app removes them as part of its normal operation. Temporary video files created while processing a pitch may be automatically deleted after processing or when they are no longer needed. If Throwmium introduces server-based accounts or cloud storage in the future, this Privacy Policy will be updated to describe how that information is stored, retained, and deleted.You may also contact us regarding questions about information associated with your use of Throwmium.
7. Your Choices
You can control Throwmium's access to certain device features through your iPhone's settings, including: Camera Photos You can also choose whether to save or share individual pitch videos.You may disable camera or Photos permissions, although doing so may prevent certain Throwmium features from functioning.
8. Children's Privacy
Throwmium is intended for a general audience of baseball and softball players, parents, coaches, and other users. Throwmium does not knowingly collect personal information from children through its services. If you believe a child has provided personal information to Throwmium, please contact us.
9. Security
We take reasonable measures to protect information handled by Throwmium.However, no method of electronic storage or transmission can be guaranteed to be completely secure. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your device and your Apple account.
10. Third-Party Services
Throwmium may rely on Apple services and technologies to provide certain functionality, including App Store subscriptions and device-level features. Those services may process information according to their own privacy policies and terms. We will identify material third-party data practices in our App Store privacy disclosures as required.
11. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time as Throwmium's features, services, or legal requirements change.When we make material changes, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this Privacy Policy. Your continued use of Throwmium after an updated Privacy Policy becomes effective means you acknowledge the updated policy.
